Module 2: The lived experience of climate change

The lived experience of climate change. This module explores the perceptions and experiences across the globe (and especially in the Global South) of climate change among diverse publics and other groups such as non-governmental organisations and the private sector, and of how these lay experiences can usefully inform policy in combination with the usual disciplinary perspectives.

This module adds an exciting knowledge dimension to our understanding of climate change, through the lived experiences of citizens and professionals from Europe and developing countries. This dimension is not found elsewhere in the climate change literature and the module also explores its relevance as a complementary knowledge for policy makers.
