Dr. Giorgos Nikolaou
 
Dr. Giorgos Nikolaou has taught at the elementary Education in Greece and France, at the Pedagogical School of Florina, at the University Institute of Technology (IUT B’) of the University of Lyon I, at the Marasleion School of Primary Education for Teachers Training, at the Police Academy and at the Master’s Degree programs of Comparative and Applied Teaching of the Athens University. In January of 2000, Dr. Nikolaou was elected as an Assistant Counselor of Intercultural Education at the Pedagogical Institute. In September 2001, he was elected Lecturer of Multicultural Education at the Department of Primary Education of the University of Ioannina. Today he is Associate Professor in the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education of The University of Patras. His expertise lies in intercultural education in primary school and he has published extensively in this area. Giorgos has experience of working on EU-funded projects. Amongst others, he was a key partner in the EU-funded MABE project that involved establishing the prevalence of discriminatory bullying in Europe.
