Innovating for Resilience
In addition to curricular research in nine areas of science across six faculties, the Open Universiteit has one multidisciplinary programme: Innovating for resilience. Due to the international nature of the research within this programme, all communication is in English.
The research program contains several themes that can be grouped along four societal challenges. So-called "turning points" form the common denominator of all research projects within these four challenges:
All faculties contribute to this research.
In the period before 2023, Innovating for Resilience focused on the following three lines of research:
- Safety and Resiliency in Urban Environments
- Learning and Innovation in Resilient Systems
- Innovation in education
Our Graduate School enables the research and PhD ambitions of professionals. The quality of our research is ensured by our research policies following (inter)national standards and embodied by an integrity and ethics committee.
