OU scientific research is developing rapidly and is firmly embedded in a network of professionals within the different areas of expertise and in close collaboration with several external partners.

Innovating for Resilience

In addition to curricular research in nine areas of science across six faculties, the Open Universiteit has one multidisciplinary programme: Innovating for resilience. Due to the international nature of the research within this programme, all communication is in English.

The research program contains several themes that can be grouped along four societal challenges. So-called "turning points" form the common denominator of all research projects within these four challenges:

Op donderdag 5 september 2024 om 16.00 uur verdedigt Vincent van der Meer, promovendus bij de faculteit Bètawetenschappen, zijn proefschrift 'Improving Foundations of File Recovery' aan de Open Universiteit in Heerlen.
