Programme and themes
Higher and scientific education is almost always about the interaction between teacher and student. The teacher decides the learning content and the teaching methods, and decides how the assessment takes place. There is almost always interaction with students.

Universities of today face a changing student population for whom the use of new media has become a matter of course. They have to deal with major drop-out and study delays. And they should contribute cater to the demands of a resilient society: attain not only for ‘cognitive goals’ but also foster social cohesion and global citizenship. To contribute to the innovation and improvement of higher education and the development of education able to face these challenges, this research line has defined four central themes:

  2. Digitization and blended learning
  3. Active learning
  4. Flexibility and assessment
