More about ALT

The Association for Learning Technology (ALT) is a mainly UK-oriented member organisation bringing together practitioners, researchers and policy makers with an interest in Learning Technology with the aim 'to advance education through increasing, exploring and disseminating knowledge in the field of Learning Technology for the benefit of the general public'. The Open University of the Netherlands has been an organisational member for approximately 10 years, and has been active within the conference programme committee and the editorial board of 'Research in Learning Technology', amongst others.

Research in Learning Technology (RLT) is a peer-reviewed Open Access journal, published and funded by ALT and its members. It has been awarded a DOAJ seal, and adheres to the so-called platinum or diamond standard, which implies that it is a no-fee publication. Articles published in the RLT journal are accepted by the Dutch ICO research school, because it is part of ICO’s ISI-list.
