Thrustworthy AI at Open Universiteit

The Faculty of Science at the Open Universiteit is organizing the symposium Trustworthy AI at Open Universiteit on Friday, November 1, 2024. This symposium will focus on our research into Trustworthy AI. Following the symposium, at 4:00 PM, the inaugural lecture of Natasha Alechina, Professor of Safe and Responsible AI, will take place.

Virginia Dignum, Professor of Responsible Artificial Intelligence and Director of the AI Policy Lab at Umeå University (Sweden), has been invited to give a lecture. Dignum is an internationally renowned researcher in the field of Responsible AI and a member of the UN High-Level Advisory Body on AI.

The second guest speaker is Roberto Zicari, a professor affiliated with Yrkeshögskolan Arcada University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki (Finland) and Seoul National University (South Korea). He leads a team of international experts who have developed an assessment process for Trustworthy AI, known as Z-Inspection.

During the symposium, several researchers from the Open Universiteit will provide insights into the Trustworthy AI Lab. Finally, the research on Trustworthy AI within the Computer Science department will be presented.
